Where to start learning about crypto technologies?

Nowadays we have access to multiple resources. I would even say too many of them and sometimes and might be overwhelming. Thus, too difficult to start.

Don’t worry! We are here to help you and guide you. Because crypto is mostly about self-education.

Learn the basics

First of all, you need to get the ‘crypto vocabulary’ to understand what it is about. You should study at least Bitcoin and Ethereum, to understand how their blockchains work. And don’t forget to read the white papers.

You can also check websites like Coursera and Alison.com for multiple free online courses.

Start using crypto

After you got your basic knowledge, you should apply your new skills to get a feeling of how it all works in reality:

  1. Create a crypto wallet
  2. Register your account on one of the exchanges
  3. Get some trader’s experience by selling/buying different coins

Start crypto mining

This is a unique chance to get a full idea of how crypto is built. However, that’s where you might need special firmware. And a high bill in electricity is also possible.

Bitcoin faucets

A bitcoin faucet is a website where you get free bitcoins in exchange for completing an action. A concept first introduced by Gavin Andresen in 2010 to promote BTC to a wider audience, it became a precursor to websites where you could exchange BTC for goods and services.

Keep up with the crypto news

Find several reliable news sites and blogs to read about crypto. There is always something that is going on, and you should be aware of all the changes.

Get newsletter subscriptions not to miss anything.

Become a certified bitcoin professional

A Certified Bitcoin Professional is knowledgeable about the Bitcoin blockchain, Bitcoin transactions, and how the Bitcoin network operates. CBPs are able to apply Bitcoin technology to their professional area of expertise and understand privacy aspects, double-spending, and other issues that relate to the currency.

It costs only $100 to take the exam but gives you extra confidence and bonus when applying for a job.

Freelance

Once you feel you know enough and ready to get started, check one of the freelance job boards like Upwork to find your first job in crypto.

How to get a job in crypto niche

Join meetups and visit crypto events

Most meetups or community events are free or cost just a few bucks that anyone can afford. Some common places to find events include Meetup and Eventbrite.

If you are a university student, check out your school’s blockchain club or start your own! I don’t recommend conferences if you’re looking for a job, as conference tickets don’t give a good ROI unless you’re incredible at networking.

Reddit

If you don’t feel comfortable reaching out and you’re new to crypto, ask questions on Reddit and participate in discussions. This will help you learn, realize that you’re smarter than you think and that internet people are nothing to fear.

Find a blockchain buddy

Find a friend that is just as passionate as you are and work with each other on any of the above topics. It’s easier and so much fun to learn together.

Social Media

CryptoTwitter values those who participate or ask relevant questions. Some of the brightest people in crypto use Twitter to build their brands.

You can also use Instagram, Reddit, Telegram, or other social media forms. Most people can only be successful at a few mediums like Twitter and Linkedin or Instagram and Tik Tok so use whichever feels most authentic.

Write crypto blog

It is quite easy to start your own blog to share your ideas, opinions, or just create guides about the exchanges, wallets, and coins you are using.

Volunteer

Careers in cryptocurrency may start with your volunteer’s experience. Volunteering can be a great way to get some experience, build your resume, and create connections in the crypto world.

When you’re around exceptional people, their knowledge and experience flow from them to everyone else. The closer you are to those people, the more you learn.

Become an Intern

This is perhaps the best option for students looking to learn more about this strange world and get some experience. This is a great initial experience to get your feet wet and become immersed in the crypto space.

Begin the job hunt

Get your LinkedIn up to date. Let people know you’re available. Make sure to include all applicable blockchain skills. Mention blockchain in your profile and include a sample project with your work.

3 reasons to join a crypto-related company

Why do people want to get cryptocurrency jobs? Are they better than any other traditional job?

High Salaries

Across the board in both technical and non-technical roles, cryptocurrency startup salaries beat the industry norm by about 10-20%. It is also worth noting that most cryptocurrency companies have great perks, including profit-sharing arrangements.

And you can also find jobs that pay in cryptocurrency!

Remote Jobs

Nowadays lots of people prefer to work from home or travel and work from a cozy cafe or being by the beach. While old-fashion companies still want you in the office (as if it makes you more productive!)

Working in the cryptocurrency industry improves your chance of being able to land a remote job by 22 percent. This doesn’t account for numerous cryptocurrency startups who have flexible work policies where you are only required to be at the office on certain days.

New technologies change the world

This is where the future is happening right now. And you can be one of the early pioneers of the whole crypto age.

Summary

It is easier than you expected. There are so many jobs and just a few experienced people. So this is a great time for you to become a domain expert and dive into the crypto world with a new good-paying job.
